Belt bag, fanny pack, bum bag, waist bag, or whatever you want to call it. It’s an accessory that stealthily made its way back on the scene.
I’m not going to lie, the belt bag trend was one that took me a while to hop on. I think it’s partially because when the trend started taking off the only style I kept seeing was the Gucci one; (hello, struggling college student over here so Gucci is out of the question at the moment). And partially because the trend felt kind of outdated to me. But the more I started to see how other people were styling them, the more I warmed up to the idea. One day while I was out shopping I spotted the perfect dupe to the Gucci GG Marmont matelassé leather belt bag at Aldo. What drew me to this one was that the style was practically identical to the popular Gucci one and it also doubles as a crossbody. Win-win!
I’m a hugeeee fan of small purses because to me they offer more practicality. They also keep you from toting around a bunch of crap. So the belt bag for me is now a no-brainer. They make the perfect accessory to kick your outfit up a notch without overdoing it and they’re also super comfortable. They can be rocked with a causal look or if you want to dress it up they’re pretty versatile. Also depending on what style you buy, a lot of them can be very spacious so they’re perfect for carrying all your essentials.
I’ve rounded up a few picks I think would make a great addition to your closet and mine. Check them out down below.
I love the pop of colour of the belt bag with your outfit. Totally rocking the trend.
I like the style. 🙂 Red colour adds some spice and the belt bag is also really handy.
Totally yay! You make it look so fab.
Not my thing but you make it look so good so I’d say yay! 🙂
I think some people can pull it off…but I cant😭
